Hail bruising on aging asphalt shingles
Why it happens here
Most Goddard roofs were built between the 1970s and 1990s, so the shingles are already aged and brittle. Hail bruising is worse on older shingles because they have less flexibility. The damage often looks minor from the ground but is significant up close.
Our approach
We inspect every slope with a drone and an inspection camera, and we chalk-mark each hail strike. We measure granule loss and check for cracked shingles. If the damage is widespread, we recommend replacement; if it is isolated, we repair.
